About Us

With excellence as a standard and enjoyment as a prerequisite we will show that there is more than meets the eye when engaging with New Zealand, New Zealand history, and Auckland City.

All of our tours look to support local business whether those are restaurants, cafes, bars, craft breweries, vineyards, brands, and stores, the smaller the better. By supporting local we support local communities, small business, and New Zealand. This is about providing a more authentic and higher quality experience for our guests, as well as doing our part to build and improve and promote local communities.

We want to create the experiences for people traveling to New Zealand that we loved in other parts of the world; tours with locals where you walk the streets, is the best way to get to know the people and the place. The authentic experiences that we want people to have comes from a stance that simplicity is key.

The Treaty of Waitangi is one principle that provides a foundation for decision making for All About Tours. All About Tours looks to Te Tiriti to make sure that decisions that are made are made in line with Te Tiriti.
All About Tours calls for a delivery that:
- acknowledges Tangata Whenua
- acknowledges the Treaty of Waitangi principles
- acknowledges our nation’s bicultural foundations
- enables guests to acquire an introduction to Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori.

  • star rating  Lots of fun and learnt a lot about Auckland's early-ish history. Highly recommended as something worthwhile but different for both Aucklanders and visitors.

About the Tour

This is a tour that combines street art and social history, we talk about pride and things that we could improve as Aucklanders, parts of our history that we are both proud of and parts that hurt. We talk about people’s perceptions of K RD and the name Karangahape, we talk about Ponsonby, Art and Culture and the rainbow that makes up Auckland. Prostitution and changes over time. We talk about our Polynesian communities, and about why New Zealand has a ban on nuclear weapons.

Restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cafes, don’t miss out on adding this tour to your time in Auckland.

The tour starts at 2pm and goes on till 4:30pm and after that you’re free to continue on retracing your steps or trying other tours.

We believe the best way to discover a city is with a local and on foot.

We do food tasting tours, walking tours, and craft beer and wine tasting tours!

If you are a group of 7 or more people and you would like to do a private Auckland tour we can organise that for you we can even be flexible about the time of day depending on what you are looking for and if there is a special occasion with enough warning we can even work on different content and stories for the tour. Just send a message and inquire and we can go from there.

For private tours it depends entirely on you. For our regular tours…Tours range in size. We are a small business and things week to week are never the same. Doing a tour with us means you are supporting an independent tour company. The bonus for you is that his is an authentic experience.
